In an effort to educate students and staff about local, national and worldwide homelessness and hunger, we invite you to our Hunger Banquet. Participants will draw lunch tickets at random that assign them to a high-, middle-, or low-income tier - blased on the latest statistics about poverty around the world. Each income level will have a different dining experience and we will debrief the experiences after lunch to explore statistics about poverty, homelessness and hunger in the Harper College Community.
Participants are encouraged to donate gloves, hats, hand/feet warmers and/or a scarf which will benefit JOURNEYS / The Road Home.
Sponsored by the Center for Student Involvement, Honors Society, Hospitality Services Club, Phi Theta Kappa and CRU Harper.
Wednesday, November 15 at 12:00pm to 1:30pm
