Black History Month Student Poster Session - African Americans and Labor: 20 Inventors.
Events are scheduled in and near J Theatre on Thursday, February 27, and Friday, February 28, 2025
The History Department invites all Harper Students to create a display and present on a Black inventor.
Visit J249 or call the History Department at 847.925.6431 to pick up a blank display board and choose an African American inventor to feature on your board. Students can register with Professor Harkins in I107 on any Monday or Wednesday afternoon or Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students should arrive early on display session days to set up your presentation and remain to explain your poster.

Timeline:
The times when the students will present table top posters in the first-floor the hallways of Buildings I and J are as follows.
• Thursday February 27, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
• Friday February 28, 2025, students will be present from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
The large 24 x 36 image of the inventor will be placed next to the poster.
