Harper College

The Harper College Buddy System program is an initiative to help connect Harper students who would like to meet new friends or establish new connections (whether you're taking in-person or virtual classes). We know college can be a big adjustment – whether you’re transitioning from high school, another college or coming back to college after some time away – the Buddy System connects you with another Harper student!

Harper College students are encouraged to sign-up for the Buddy System Program by completing an online form: https://forms.office.com/r/n7sbrSXuXt.

After filling out this form, Harper College staff will match you with someone else who also filled out this form and introduce you to one another via your Harper emails. Participants in the program will receive weekly discussion topics/resources to help facilitate some conversation with your buddy, special social opportunities and other fun and free promotional items.

You can carry on buddy system correspondence via email or move to another preferred mode of communication. This is a great opportunity to make new friends, learn more about how other students on campus are doing, and establish more connections on campus.

In order to be efficiently matched with a Harper College buddy, the submission form is due by end-of-day on Friday,
February 4. If you have any issues/questions, please email Beth Ripperger, Harper Wellness Manager, at eripperg@harpercollege.edu.

Reasonable accommodations and services are available for students, staff and visitors with disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Persons with disabilities who may require accommodations should contact Access and Disability Services in Building I, Room 103, or telephone at 847.925.6266 (voice callers) or 224.836.5048 (videophone for Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing callers).
