The History Department invites you to connect with history at a classic film double feature film presentation on Thursday, November 16, 2023 in the Building J Theatre, J143.
Mrs. Miniver, will screen at 4 p.m., and Dunkirk, will screen at 6:30 p.m.
In Mrs. Miniver, a 1942 release by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, a family in Great Britain struggle to survive the first months of World War II. Nominated for 12 and winner of six Academy Awards; Run time: 2 hours, 14 minutes (not rated).
Dunkirk (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, 1958), is “a dramatization of the British Expeditionary Force's 1940 retreat to the beaches of France and the extraordinary seaborne evacuation that saved it from utter destruction by Nazi Germany.” (IMBD). Run time: 2 hours, 15 minutes (not rated).
