The Harper College Department of Music presents a Harper Symphony Orchestra Concert.

Join us for “A Hero’s Journey,” an inspiring concert that takes the audience through tales of courage and triumph. The program begins with William Grant Still’s evocative Threnody, a poignant piece that sets the stage with reflective and expressive melodies. Next, Edvard Grieg’s Sigurd Jorsalfar suite captures the grandeur of a royal court and the dreams of a Norse hero through the Prelude, the ethereal Intermezzo, and the majestic Triumphal March. The evening concludes with Alexander Borodin’s powerful Symphony No. 2 in B minor, also known as the "Heroic Symphony," which celebrates epic adventures and the indomitable spirit of the hero. Don’t miss this musical journey of bravery, dreams, and triumphs!

This event is free for currently enrolled Harper College students; all other patrons may purchase tickets from the Harper College Box Office located in the Performing Arts Center or call 847.925.6100.
