View mapAre the winter months, holidays, or upcoming finals causing you stress? Join Harper Wellness on Thursday, December 7 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm at the Health and Recreation Center (Building M) for a Lunch N' Learn to learn about best practices for managing stress. During this interactive, informative, and relaxing one-hour session, participants will learn about the numerous causes of stress in their lives, the negative effects long-term stress has on their bodies, minds, and emotions, and methods to control how they respond to difficult situations.

A variety of relaxation techniques will be presented and practiced.
These include:
· Quick relaxation exercises to do during the heat of the moment (stressful events)
· Breathing techniques
· Muscle relaxation
· Progressive relaxation
· Visualization
· Self-massage
