What is mindfulness? How can mindfulness help me in my daily life? How can I be more present? These questions, and many more, will be explored throughout the mindfulness workshop series. According to Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of Mindfulness-Based Stressed Reduction (MBSR), "Mindfulness is awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally."
Each workshop is different as there will be a featured speaker to introduce participants to a different aspect of mindfulness to help assist in the building of a mindfulness “toolkit.” If participants attend at least 3 of the 5 workshops they will be eligible to receive a prize at the conclusion of the workshop series.
