About this Event
View mapThe Kenneth Young Center is offering free Naloxone (Narcan) training for all students, faculty, staff, and community members. Naloxone is an opioid antagonist medication that is used to reverse an opioid overdose.
Narcan will be available in all AED machines across campus as well as in the dedicated Narcan vending machine (Building L, 2nd floor, across from the Boostore) in case of an emergency. In addition, all Harper police carry Narcan.
30-minute trainings will be offered, free of charge. Each session will cover education about commonly used opioids, the signs of an overdose, and how to administer Narcan, with time for Q&A. All participants will receive Narcan at the end of the training. There is no cost for the training or any of the materials distributed. Participants only need to choose one of the 30 minute trainings. Sign up is required at: https://forms.office.com/r/JCj3Zi7HfS
