Don't miss this one-of-a-kind show, written and performed by Christopher Cayari.

Come experience captivating costumes, heartfelt monologues, and songs from Wicked, Hamilton, Sunset Boulevard, Kinky Boots, and other musical theater favorites! This superbly crafted cabaret-style revue demystifies some trans and gender non-conforming issues. Audiences will experience moments of triumph, comedy, drama, and discovery.

Chris, the main character in this performative autoethnography, explores their journey of self-discovery regarding gender identity. The script uses musical theater vignettes to illustrate Chris's experiences with gender expectations, from childhood to adulthood, highlighting the impact of societal pressures and the liberating experience of embracing their identity as a gender non-conforming individual. Parrradee, Chris’s alter ego as a Sister of Perpetual Indulgence, offers a parallel narrative emphasizing the importance of self-expression and challenging gender norms within a supportive community. The performance culminates in Chris's triumphant assertion of self-acceptance and their refusal to conform to societal expectations. The piece ultimately advocates for inclusivity and understanding within the performing arts.
