The Cultural Arts Committee at Harper College presents: The Beat Studies Association Conference: The Jack Kerouac Centenary

This conference is in honor of the writer Jack Kerouac (1922-1969) in this year of his centenary, 2022.

Six distinguished Kerouac scholars and the head of the Kerouac Estate will give lectures on the continuing ways Kerouac is relevant to the contemporary literary landscape. In addition, there will be three panels chaired by major Kerouac scholars in which instructors and graduate students will deliver academic papers about various aspects of Kerouac’s work and legacy. Papers will be selected by members of The Beat Studies Association Board for their merit.

In attendance will be: Ann Charters, Holly George-Warren, Tim Hunt, Dennis McNally, and Regina Weinreich, with Kurt Hemmer as M.C.
