The Harper College Department of Music presents a Wind Symphony Concert.

Join us for an evocative concert titled "Masque." The program will open with Timothy Mahr's vibrant and energetic "Hey!" followed by Samuel Hazo's beautiful "Fantasy on a Japanese Folk Song," which transports listeners to the rich landscapes of Japan. The centerpiece, Francis McBeth's "Masque," offers a powerful and dramatic exploration of the human spirit. John Mackey's "Haunted Objects" will intrigue with its eerie and mysterious sounds, and the evening will conclude with Haydn Wood's lush and lyrical tone poem "Mannin Veen," celebrating the folk tunes of the Isle of Man. This diverse program promises a captivating evening of music filled with cultural reflections and vivid storytelling.

This event is free for currently enrolled Harper College students; all other patrons may purchase tickets from the Harper College Box Office located in the Performing Arts Center or call 847.925.6100.
